A recent job carried out in Llandrindod Wells in Wales which required a full commercial clearance of a large four storey college campus that had recently closed and was being converted to housing. The job required a complete mix of items to be cleared including furniture, commercial kitchen equipment, waste disposal, with rooms including a gym, office, a large commercial kitchen and multiple offices. This was made more challenging by the fact that there was no electricity in the building due to damp issues which meant all lifts were out of use and generators and lights were required. We also used a shoot system for the higher floors. During the week, our teams disposed of 30 tonnes of waste which were transported by our teams to be recycled at a local waste transfer station, and 10 tonnes of confidential waste which we had shredded on site by a local company.

The 10 tonnes of shredded paper from this property clear out was recycled for pet bedding. The wood was recycled for renewable energy. All metal was recycled and textiles were sent to textile recycling.
